Know the weakness.
Understand the exposure.

Source-linked CVEs, CVSS severity, known exploited vulnerabilities and emerging threat advisories. A public starting point for investigation, not a verdict on your environment.

Dates retain their source meaning. “Added to KEV” is a catalogue date. CVSS is a severity score, not a risk score. A missing score is not zero. Source titles retain their original language.

PROVENANCE & AVAILABILITY

Follow the source.
Check the timestamp.

Source checks are cached for 15 minutes on the hosted API. Publisher restrictions can interrupt retrieval. The page identifies dated fallbacks and unavailable sources.

SIGNAL TO BUSINESS CONTEXT

A CVE is a starting point.
Your exposure decides the priority.

Ask whether you own the affected asset, whether it is reachable, whether the affected version is in use and which business service depends on it.

What is a CVE?

A Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures identifier names a publicly disclosed vulnerability. The identifier lets teams refer to the same issue across sources.

What is CVSS?

The Common Vulnerability Scoring System describes technical severity. Version, vector and scoring source matter. Severity alone does not establish your business risk or prove active exploitation.

What does CISA KEV tell me?

CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalogue identifies vulnerabilities with evidence of exploitation. A matching record is a prioritisation signal; confirm whether your assets are affected.

Are these ThreatFence detections?

No. This public hub links to publisher records. It does not scan your organisation or show a private customer investigation.

Why are some sources marked unavailable or stale?

Publishers may restrict automated retrieval, rate-limit requests or change their feeds. We preserve the last successful retrieval date and never relabel old entries as new.
